Mallorca is one of Europe’s best cycling destinations – from the flat roads around Es Trenc to the climbs of Sa Calobra and Puig Major in the Tramuntana mountains. The Mallorca Cycling Center route planner helps you put together your own road bike ride: it picks bike-friendly roads, calculates distance, climbing and riding time, and sends you the finished route as a GPX file. Not in the mood for planning? Pick one of our ready-made routes or go straight to booking your bike.
How it works
- Choose your start – at our shop in Can Pastilla, in Alcúdia or anywhere on the island.
- Click on the map or search for a place. The route follows the roads and shows the elevation profile.
- Name the route and send it to your e-mail – load the GPX into your Garmin, Wahoo or Komoot.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the planner free?
- Yes. Planning and the GPX file are free – just enter the e-mail address we should send the route to.
- Does the route avoid gravel?
- With “Paved roads only” switched on, the planner skips gravel, farm tracks and footpaths. If a section is still unpaved, it warns you – just move the point onto a road.
- Which devices can I use the route on?
- The GPX works with Garmin, Wahoo and Hammerhead bike computers and watches, and with Komoot and other apps that can import GPX.
- Can I edit one of your ready-made routes?
- Yes. Every route in our overview has an “Edit in route planner” button – the route opens here and you can move, remove or add points.
- Can I rent a bike for my route?
- Yes – at Mallorca Cycling Center in Can Pastilla we rent BMC and Colnago road bikes. The planner suggests a bike that suits your route, and you can book it right away.
